Utah Association of Geocachers

In Geocaching each member goes out into the environment and finds “geocaches.” During this trip, which usually means a decent hike to wherever the cache may be, geocachers are encouraged to do a thing called “Cache in, trash out,” which means that in addition to enjoying the natural environment, they help keep it beautiful and pick up any trash or garbage along the way.

Wild Horse and Burro Adoption Program through the Bureau of Land Management

The BLM is doing its part to place wild range horses in homes. Because many horses live in Utah, the state has the Delta Wild Horse and Burro Facility, which is an adoption program, and a number of other facilities in the state, among which is the BLM holding and auctioning facility in Salt Lake City which hosts the Wild Horse and Burro Festival coming on May 21 and 22, 2010.
